Welcome to the MSP web site
The MSP project is a blueprint for a program of research and development for a K-12 curriculum focusing on environmental science literacy - the capacity to understand and participate in evidence-based discussions of the effects of human actions on environmental systems. High school graduates who are literate in the environmental sciences should be able to engage in two practices that are essential for environmentally responsible citizenship. They should be able to understand and evaluate expert's arguments about environmental issues, and they should be able to decide on policies and personal actions that are consistent with their environmental values.
Participation in the MSP project has increased dramatically throughout the past couple of years. Since 2009, a total of 26974 users from over 180 educational institutions have registered and participated in the MSP project. Furthermore, the number of exams taken has increased exponentially as shown in the chart below.
To Register: click on the 'Register' link on the left column menu. You can also take an exam immediately if another MSP user has established an assessment for you to take. If you are a MSP researcher or teacher, you can request additional clearance by contacting us with your username, affiliation and a brief explanation for your request. Click on the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this page.
