Welcome to the EcoNab Downloads page

EcoNab is a field data collection system (a data gathering component of NIISS)

You use a ''Palm Pilot'' PDA, and your data go directly into an Access database.
You can do any type of plot (Transect, Modified Whittaker, Peet, etc.) or ''plots'' with no defined shape such as point locations or polygons. We offer downloadable examples.
EcoNab is tailored for vegetation surveys but you can collect virtually any data.
EcoNab is FREE to use, in exchange for a copy of your data.

First step: Log In If you are a new user, you can register now (free).

To download files, you must be logged in and have a validated email address. This is so we can advise you of critical updates.

System Requirements:
Palm® OS PDA or device, version 2.0 or later. This can be an ancient Palm III, a modern Treo cellphone, or any model in between.
Microsoft Access 2000 or later.

NOTE: There are serious incompatibles with Windows Vista!
