The Civil Engineering, Geography and Environmental Sciences, Urban & Regional Planning and Design Departments offer GIS. A Master of Engineering in GIS is offered through the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Colorado Denver - Downtown Denver Campus. We also offer a Master of Science in GIS for students having an engineering background. We offer an intermediate Graduate GIS Certificate option requiring four of our MEng-GIS courses.

Partnerships - Resources - Technology: The multidisciplinary laboratory provides state-of-the-art GIScience technology for teaching and research. FAST Lab equipment consists of 40 workstations, color printers and plotter, system server, network access, and computer projection systems. The lab has secured site licenses for the most advanced GIS, image processing and database management software available in the industry.

In addition, the MEng-GIS Program is offered entirely on-line using web-based courseware and streaming video technologies (www.cuonline.edu). We have been nominated as a Program of Distinction by the Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education (this allows students in the WICHE region to enroll at in-state tuition rates.) Also, we have a strong partnership with the UCD Business School’s Information Systems Development and Implementation (SDI) Program. We offer complimentary graduate certificate options with the SDI Program.
