Community College of Aurora

No departments offer GIS courses or units at the moment. The Anthropology and History Departments plan on incorporating GIS soon via an NSF grant.

The following deliverables have been established for the project.:

Embedded GIS Modules in anthropology, astronomy, biology, geography, geology, history, informational technology, instructional technology, and math.

***Currently faculty members will learn the fundamentals of GIS, map projections, display of data on maps, and various computer software applications in GIS. Faculty members will develop an actual GIS project, using collected data relevant to his/her own discipline and to be incorporated into his/her Spring 2010 coursework.
